Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a Personal Care Specialist for PRN night shifts (7pm–7:30am) serving the Dayton area, including Huber Heights, Troy, and Middletown IPUs. The role focuses on compassionate, professional in-home care and support for patients and families.

Travel is required to patient homes and care facilities within the service region. A High School Diploma or GED is required; CNA certification is preferred, with internal training available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to document patient care in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass criminal background check and 10-panel drug screening.
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally).
• CHPNA certification preferred. Ohio’s Hospice supports professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful, and reliable in-home care.
• Travel to patient homes and care facilities throughout the Huber Heights service region.
• Assist with care tasks during PRN 7pm–7:30am shifts at Dayton Hospice House IPU and Troy/Middletown IPUs.
• Document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
