Job summary

Wellstar MCG is seeking a PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our NICU team. You will provide direct neonatal care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support families while ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

The role offers flexible shifts in a Level IV NICU, with opportunities to participate in education, quality improvement, and 24-hour on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus in Neonatal Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Georgia or eligibility to obtain Georgia licensure.
• Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
• Minimum of two years of NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality care to neonates in the NICU.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, lumbar punctures.
• Conduct rounds and document progress notes and care plans in the EMR.
• Educate and support families on infant care and development.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow clinical protocols.
