Job summary

Wellstar MCG in Georgia is seeking a PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a Level IV NICU team. You will provide direct neonatal care, collaborate with neonatology and nursing staff, and support families in infant care and development.

This role offers flexible scheduling and exposure to advanced NICU resources. Required are an MSN with a neonatal focus, Georgia licensure or eligibility, and NNP board certification, with 2+ years NICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with a focus in neonatology.
• Georgia RN/Nurse Practitioner license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
• Minimum of two years in a NICU or similar neonatal setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high‑quality neonatal care in the NICU, including assessment and management.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses and other staff for multidisciplinary care.
• Assist in procedures such as intubation and central line placement.
• Document progress notes and care plans in the EMR after rounds.
• Educate families on infant care, development and health concerns.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow protocols.
• Provide PRN on‑call coverage, including weekends and nights.
