Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures supporting diagnostic services. You will help ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality images for physician evaluation.

You will operate MRI equipment, assess patient histories for contraindications, educate patients, uphold safety standards, document findings, manage supplies, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to optimize imaging outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per physician orders and departmental protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review patient questionnaires/history to identify contraindications and ensure safety during scans.
• Operate MRI and processing equipment with adherence to safety guidelines.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI exams, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards and zones; verify readiness before scans.
• Document and correlate clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Maintain inventory of MRI supplies and equipment; ensure sterility as required.
• Verify orders and patient identification before procedures; adhere to hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team to optimize imaging results.
• Monitor MRI equipment functionality and report issues promptly.
