Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for our Sidney, NY facility. You will operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, explain procedures, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining excellent patient care.

This role requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry and state licensure as applicable, with flexibility for PRN scheduling. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, an ARRT registry, and CPR certification, plus preferred associates degree and

• Strong focus on patient safety and procedure prep.
• Attention to detail in image quality and safety protocols.
• Active ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry and state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Assist with supplies, unit cleaning and transport prep.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and staff as needed.
