Position

PRN MRI Technologist

Operates MRI equipment for diagnostic purposes. Demonstrates the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative, considering patient age and characteristics to optimize care. Participates in departmental growth through policy development, QA, and ongoing education. Provides patient care specific to the population served.

Qualifications include:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Radiological Technology program
• At least three months of clinical and on-the-job training
• Registry eligible or registered R.T. (MR) and/or ARMRIT certification (registration must be obtained within six months of hire)
• BLS certification within six months of hire

Additional skills and requirements:

• Proficiency with computer programs related to record keeping
• Excellent human relations, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Customer service orientation
• Leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently
• Positive attitude

Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, and assisting with heavier tasks. Must be able to perform detailed visual work, operate equipment, and provide patient assistance and education.
