RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team on a temporary/PRN basis. You will operate MRI scanners, position patients, and ensure safety and quality of imaging. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to radiology standards.

Requirements include AMA approved radiography training, ARRT/ARMRIT registration, state licensure if required, and CPR certification. This position supports the MRI department with protocol updates and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in applicable state, if required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform MRI procedures independently with training/experience.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Screen patients and explain MRI procedures for safety and comfort.
• Position patients and adjust scan parameters under physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient records in RIS.
• Keep work area clean and equipment disinfected.
• Support MRI department with protocols and software updates.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
This is a temporary/PRN position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

Required

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
