Job summary

HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services in Florida is seeking a Microbiology Technologist PRN to provide expertise and champion results. You will perform stat and routine microbiology and serology testing, applying theoretical concepts with independent judgment to ensure timely, accurate results.

The role requires an Associate’s in science; a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology is preferred; a Florida Technologist License is required or can be obtained during the interview; 2 years of clinical lab

Qualifications

• 2 Year/Associate’s Degree in a science.
• 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Experience in Microbiology with Serology/Immunology exposure preferred.
• 2 years’ clinical laboratory experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform stat and routine microbiology and/or serology testing.
• Apply theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine with independent judgement for timely, accurate results.
• Handle non-technical duties including specimen receipt, processing, storage and referral testing as needed.
• Support department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction.
