Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton, a private freestanding psychiatric hospital, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (PRN) to join our treatment team. You will provide patient care, supervision, and role modeling under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and communicating updates to the Charge Nurse. CNA licensure or RBT in Texas preferred. CPR certification within 30 days may be required.

Qualifications

• CNA licensure and/or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) in Texas preferred.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Observe and document changes in patient appearance, behavior or progress toward treatment goals.
• Communicate patient condition changes to the Charge Nurse.
