Job summary

Beacon Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Service Worker for New Orleans, LA. The role involves supporting clinical and administrative tasks, maintaining a safe environment, and assisting in direct patient care as needed.

The incumbent will work under supervision, demonstrate empathy, and adhere to attendance and safety policies while communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in a mental health care setting preferred (as a Mental Health Technician or CNA).
• Appropriate education in a mental health related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health.
• Uphold Beacon’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service.
• Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine tasks within the Beacon program.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring program rules and aiding in patient management.
• Documents patient departure, transport, significant occurrences, vital signs, and observations as required by the professional nurse.
• Assists clinicians with patient care tasks and therapists with interventions.
• Performs clerical duties to support HIM, Intake, Administrative roles, Clinic Manager, and Administrator.
• Performs other duties and special projects as required.
• Displays flexibility, anticipates problems, and provides solutions with consideration for customers.
