Job summary

Conemaugh Miners Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist, PRN, to join our lab team. You will perform waived, moderate, and high complexity clinical testing, ensure QC and calibration, and report results accurately within established time frames.

You will rotate shifts, contribute to QA activities, and maintain competency while providing excellent patient care across age groups. A hospital training background and ASCP eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, MLS or related science including hospital training.
• Currently registered with ASCP or eligible for registry.
• BLS/CPR within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains procedural quality standards and reports results within time limits.
• Performs waived, moderately complex and high complexity testing.
• Maintains instrument calibration and quality control per manuals.
• Collects and evaluates data for QA issues and participates in problem solving.
• Rotates shifts and coordinates staffing as needed.
• Ensures infection control practices and safe handling of specimens.
