Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a PRN Medical Technologist for day shifts to support vacations and leaves. The role is primarily based at our Kenmoor location and will cover Big Rapids, Holland, and Muskegon clinics as needed. No weekends or holidays.

You will perform testing on patient specimens, ensure quality control, maintain instruments, and assist the laboratory manager to sustain efficient operations in a fast-paced cancer center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology with internship completed.
• Must pass ASCP certification or equivalent and current certification.
• Two years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience using LIS and performing math calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand ~90% of the day.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical assays and reports results after validation.
• Prepares specimens and maintains quality and resource efficiency.
• Maintains equipment per schedule and records checks.
• Performs quality control and proficiency testing with corrective actions.
• Collects specimens with proper labeling and handling.
