Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures under supervision. The role requires knowledge across bacteriology, hematology, immunology and chemistry, with a pathway to Nevada licensure within 90 days.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or 60 credits incl. chemistry and biology, and have exposure to large clinical labs or pediatric settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 credit hours including chemistry and biology with structured lab techniques.
• Must pass national certifying examination (ASCP or equivalent) and obtain Nevada MLT certificate on hire or within 90 days.
• Experience in a large clinical laboratory or children's hospital is preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated, semi-automated and/or manual procedures under supervision of a Medical Technologist.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, hematology, serology, chemistry, immunology, and immunohematology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
