Job summary

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, is hiring a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN, on-call role. You will perform diagnostic tests, operate analyzers, and ensure quality results, with a 15% PRN pay in lieu of benefits.

This position requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in Medical Technology or related field and ASCP/AMT certification or eligibility; familiarity with LIS and EHR systems is preferred. Shifts include day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification or eligible is required.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with electronic health records and LIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all complexity testing in the clinical laboratories.
• Operates, calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots analyzers and lab equipment.
• Ensures accuracy and quality of laboratory tests and reports.
• Coordinates workflow to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Assists in quality control data collection and proficiency testing.
• Performs Phlebotomy duties when needed.
