Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Laboratory Technician program or degree.
• Eligibility for AMT/ASCP certification within 1 year after hire.
• Ability to perform routine clinical lab tests and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests using established protocols with high accuracy across laboratory departments.
• Conduct calibration, quality control checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
• Identify patients prior to specimen collection and explain collection procedures.
• Collect and transport blood and other specimens; perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Manage laboratory inventory and control programs.
• Participate in quality assurance and support inspections.
