Job summary

Avera Windom Clinic is seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Technician to join a multidisciplinary team in the Windom clinic. The role emphasizes phlebotomy, routine lab testing, data reporting, and instrument maintenance.

Requires an MLT degree or technical certificate and certification within 1 year (AMT or ASCP). Prior lab experience is preferred; schedule is typically Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with 4- or 8-hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's or technical degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• MLT certification must be achieved within 1 year (AMT or ASCP).
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical laboratory tests with high accuracy.
• Calibrates and performs QC checks and maintenance on equipment.
• Identifies patients before specimen collection and explains procedures.
• Collects, transports and processes specimens; performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Participates in quality assurance and inventory control.
