Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a Site Medical Director/Physician for the Saginaw County Jail in Saginaw, MI. This PRN role (8 hours per week) requires medical leadership and oversight of clinical services within a correctional setting.

The physician will supervise staff, ensure on-call support, and review protocols to maintain high-quality care for inmates. Michigan license and active DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan with current DEA registration.
• Board certification/eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical services provided by professional and paraprofessional staff.
• Provide on-call coverage and ensure timely medical response.
• Annually review clinical protocols, policies, and disaster plans.
• Manage referrals to external facilities for quality and continuity of care.
