Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Medical Assistant - PRN to support patient flow in an urgent care setting. You will check-in patients, answer calls, verify insurance, and help with documentation while delivering compassionate care.

Flexible hours and a teamwork-focused environment; prior clinical experience and BLS within 30 days are preferred, with strong customer service and multi-software proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work with multiple computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Checks-in patients in a timely manner and follows Web Check-in procedures.
• Answers clinic calls and provides information or routes questions as needed.
• Verifies insurance in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follows occupational client’s preference card and related procedures.
• Reviews patient paperwork for completeness and collects insurance/demographic information.
• Completes Daily Balance Checklist after each shift and documents all payments.
