Job summary

Nemours-Children is seeking PRN Medical Assistants to support the Cast Room. The MA acts as a key liaison among patient/family, provider, and care team, coordinating patient flow and data collection at intake.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures and documenting history in the medical record per protocol. Medical Assistant I–III have progressively higher experience and certification requirements, including BLS within 90 days and CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA credentials, with mentoring duties

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain BLS through AHA within 90 days.
• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or MA certification required (see below).
• Acceptable certifications: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA (NHA).
• Basic clinical and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow by assisting in data collection and review for intake.
• Assist with clinical procedures per provider direction and protocol.
• Enter pertinent history into the medical record and ensure information is available to the provider.
• Serve as liaison between patient/family, provider, and care team members.
