Job summary

Family Medicine Austin is seeking an experienced PRN Medical Assistant to cover shifts as needed at our Austin-area clinics. The role involves supporting preventive wellness exams and patient screenings.

You will enter and maintain electronic records, assist with BMI, retinal exams, spirometry, and arterial assessments, and ensure clinics run smoothly. Training is provided for procedures in our environment.

Qualifications

• Must have computer, communication, and detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
• Ensure patient rooms are clean, sterilized, safe, and organized with adequate supplies and well-functioning equipment.
• Perform patient screenings, including a wide array of diagnostic testing (training provided!).
• Communicate with diverse patients, to help each understand the screening process in a way that makes patients feel at ease.
• Deliver compassionate patient care and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain the standards of clinical practice.
