Job summary

Nuvance Health Med Practice CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across region C locations. The role focuses on preparing examination areas, assisting clinicians, and maintaining patient flow and documentation.

Must have a MA-related credential or relevant experience, with BLS within 30 days. Travel between practices is required for the Float Team. This is a PRN/part-time position supporting multiple CT locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1 year MA experience or equivalent training.
• Basic medical knowledge and terminology required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients and ensure proper patient identification.
• Transcribe and update patient information in the EMR.
• Perform clerical tasks and organize patient charts for providers.
• Assist in in-office testing and specimen collection as directed.
• Maintain inventory and ensure cleanliness of clinical areas.
• Communicate effectively via electronic messages and with team members.
• Travel between practices as needed and support float team.
