Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform high‑quality mammography exams and support the breast imaging team. You will follow MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, document in EMR/PACS, and ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging.

Required ARRT MRT(R)(ARRT) credentials, BLS, 1+ year experience, and proficiency in PACS. The role offers flexible PRN shifts and opportunities to contribute to accreditation and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and recalls coordination as required
• Supports breast center initiatives and quality improvement activities
• Follows department protocols for patient ID, informed consent and time‑out
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation
• Performs high‑quality mammography exams per orders and protocols
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked and safe
• Performs daily QC checks per policies
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment for optimal images
• Explains procedures clearly and addresses questions with professionalism
• Collaborates with radiologists for timely results and next steps
• Performs other duties as assigned
