Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a PRN role at Tampa-area facilities. The candidate will perform screening and diagnostic mammography using 2D/3D equipment, collect patient history, and support Radiologists with imaging data in RIS/PACS.

Required qualifications include ARRT(M), state license if applicable, CPR, and a state-approved Mammography Program. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential; driver’s license may be needed for facility coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Mammography Program state approved required; ARRT(M) certification.
• State license if applicable; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
• Obtain patient history, prior films/reports, and other information as needed.
• Conduct Quality Control (QC) per FDA/ACR requirements.
• Provide imaging support to other modalities (x-ray, bone density) when needed.
