Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for PRN shifts at our South Florida facilities. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography with 2D/3D equipment, collecting patient history, and guiding Radiologists with clinical information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Mammography Program state approval required.
• ARRT (M) certification required.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
• Obtains patient history and prior imaging as needed (RIS/PACS, burn discs).
• Performs QC per FDA/ACR guidelines.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities as needed (x-ray, bone density).
• Works with mammogram letters and follow-up reminders.
