Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our South Florida facilities on a PRN basis. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography using 2D/3D equipment and collect patient history to support Radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include obtaining prior films, QC duties, and providing imaging support to other modalities. A strong MQSA background and ARRT certification are required, with state license and CPR as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Mammography Program (State approved)
• ARRT (M)
• State License, if applicable.
• CPR certification
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• Must have met initial requirements under MQSA standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtains patient history, prior films/reports, and any other supportive role information that is needed (RIS/PACS, burn discs).
• Performs Quality Control (QC) needed for FDA/ACR.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities in center (x-ray/ bone density, etc).
• Works with mammogram letters (results/reminders).
