Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions in Pekin, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts. Under RN supervision, you will contribute to the nursing process, provide patient education, and deliver care in line with your training and competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions, contributing to individualized treatment planning and collaborating with RNs and staff.
• Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, including administration of medications, IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety procedures while responding to codes or health emergencies.
• Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting to ensure effective communication.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings, demonstrating commitment to professional development and high-quality patient care.
