Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking an LPN to provide professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and participate in care planning with an interdisciplinary team.

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an LPN license. Associate degree in practical nursing preferred. This role requires strong communication and commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• State-licensed LPN in good standing (where applicable).
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required in some locations.
• Complete annual CEUs and department competency training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assess residents and document outcomes related to care.
• Communicate with residents, families, and care teams.
