Job summary

Masonic Homes Kentucky in Louisville, KY seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to supervise, coordinate and deliver nursing care across shifts. You will interpret policies, mentor nursing assistants, and ensure safety and quality in daily resident care under the Director of Nursing.

This PRN position requires an active Kentucky LPN license, CPR certification, strong communication skills and the physical ability to assist residents.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license in good standing in Kentucky.
• Completion of accredited LPN nursing program.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Interpret policies to nursing assistants, residents, families and physicians.
• Supervise direct resident care and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Provide reports to the incoming shift nurse and DON where appropriate.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and identify safety hazards for corrective actions.
• Document care provided, medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
