Job summary

Summit Medical Group at Pistol Creek in Alcoa, TN seeks an experienced LPN, CCMA, or RMA for a PRN, on-site role in a busy primary care setting. The candidate will support clinical tasks, triage calls, and assist with procedures and patient education.

Applicants should have graduation from an accredited program and TN licensure or national certification, with preference for 1 year in a medical office. Includes pre-employment drug testing and wellness program eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program or Medical Assisting program.
• Current TN license in Practical Nursing or Nationally Certified Medical Assisting, or EMT license required.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares patients for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
• Records vital signs of patients, including pulse and blood pressure.
• Performs procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, Holter monitors, etc.
• Assists physicians with procedures and administers medications; provides patient education.
• Handles phone triage, pre-certifications, referrals, and calls in prescriptions as needed.
• Performs clerical duties and contacts patients regarding test results or other related matters.
• Schedules patient appointments and maintains clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Maintains neat and organized clinical areas daily.
