Job summary

Summit Medical Group is seeking a float LPN, CMA, or RMA to support Farragut Family Practice in Knoxville, TN. The role involves clinical tasks including vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and assisting physicians with procedures.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with on-site duties and potential clinical scheduling responsibilities. Licensure in TN or national certification is required, with 1 year of office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing or medical assisting program.
• Current TN license in Practical Nursing or national Medical Assisting certification required.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures as directed.
• Record vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, height, etc.
• Perform procedures like phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, etc.
• Assist physicians with procedures and administer medications.
• Handle phone triage, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescription calls as needed.
• Handle clerical duties to support physicians and contact patients regarding test results.
• Schedule patient appointments when needed to optimize clinical time slots.
• Maintain neat, stocked exam rooms and common work areas daily.
