The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.

Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with state board and maintains required competencies.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision of RN/physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; document outcomes.
• Contribute to assessment and care planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.
