New Vista at Ethan Crossing in Springfield, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) to join our behavioral health team. You will perform patient assessments, screen admissions, assist with treatment plans, and administer medications with compassionate care. Day shift 7am-7pm; weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• LPN certification and current licensure.
• Ability to make safe judgment calls in client care.
• Strong communication skills for educating clients about treatment options.
• Proficiency in computer programs and data entry for records.
• Experience in mental health/addiction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform client assessments and medical screenings at admission and monitor status during treatment.
• Assist physicians with developing and implementing individual treatment plans.
• Communicate with clinical staff about client behavioral and emotional states.
• Administer medications and provide pain management services.
• Update and maintain client medical records and charts.
• Educate clients about dangers of substance abuse and treatment options.
• Provide emotional support and facilitate group or individual sessions.
• Meet with clients to offer medical support during treatment.
• Detox duties: recognize withdrawal symptoms and administer withdrawal medications as needed.
