Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a PRN Laboratory Support professional to help process specimens, enter data, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to work 2nd shift (4 PM–1 AM). This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a patient-centered laboratory team.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens to ensure proper handling, preparation, routing, and storage.
• Enter patient, client, billing, and test data into the Laboratory Information System.
• Identify when corrective actions are needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a laboratory with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control.

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Days: The schedule will vary, will need to be available to provide coverage between Monday- Friday, Rotating Saturday’s (subject to change)

Hours: 4PM- 1AM (subject to change)

PRN: Not Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored

• Responsible for entering patient, client, billing and test information into the Laboratory Information System
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.
