Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO, is seeking an Intake Clinician to perform psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals for patients using both phone and in-person contact. Admissions are facilitated through coordination with the Business Office, Utilization Review, and Nursing Services.

This PRN role requires a Masters in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, with Colorado licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling.
• Licensed Clinician in Colorado preferred; if not licensed, ability to obtain licensure (LPC or LCSW). Supervision for licensure can be provided onsite.
• Prefer previous experience with psychiatric patients of all ages.

• Respond to requests for assistance by telephone or in person and provide psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals to hospital staff and outside services.
• Coordinate admissions with the Business Office, Utilization Review and Nursing Services.

Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

The Intake Clinician responds to all persons requesting assistance either by telephone or in person, and provides psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals to Hospital staff and services to outside sources, based on the nature of the problem(s) and financial resources. Admissions to the Hospital are facilitated through coordinated efforts with the Business Office, Utilization Review and the Department of Nursing Services.

Shift Hours: PRN; must be able to work 1 overnight shift per month; PRN employees are not guaranteed shifts/hours

Shift Differential Pay: Up to $6.00/hour
