Job summary

Sun Behavioral Health in Columbus is seeking a licensed mental health professional to assess and treat individuals affected by mental illness and related crises. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, assist in admissions, and refer to community resources.

The role emphasizes crisis management, documented evaluations, and patient advocacy. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and ensure accurate medical record

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license in state of employment as LPC/LMFT/LISW/LCSW or state equivalent.
• CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervised clinical experience.
• Master’s degree in a mental health field preferred.
• Assessment and evaluation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes psychosocial evaluations on assigned patients in a timely fashion.
• Conducts therapy sessions with individuals and groups.
• Facilitates the emergency detention process and prepares legal documents.
• Coordinates inpatient admissions and referrals to community resources.
• Participates in weekly treatment planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains accurate documentation for medical records and third-party payers.
