Job summary

ALLY Psychiatry is seeking a PRN Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care at Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness in Charleston, SC. The role offers weekend, holiday, and vacation coverage with flexible PRN scheduling, supporting a collaborative behavioral health team in an inpatient setting.

You will perform psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management for inpatients, working alongside mid-level providers and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in South Carolina.
• Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment.
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychiatric medication management.
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
• Participate in treatment planning and clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with mid-level psychiatric providers.
• Communicate with nursing staff and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide coverage during weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.
