Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute is seeking Mental Health Technicians to deliver high-quality care to patients with psychiatric or emotional disorders.

The role supports the program philosophy of care and a therapeutic milieu, requiring constant communication with nursing staff and participation in the patient plan of care. Shifts include day or night, with weekend work at least once monthly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and SAMA required (training provided by employer).
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
• Experience in a free-standing psychiatric hospital preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to listen with a pleasant demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with strong time management.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, physical, and provide positive references.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care to patients hospitalized with psychiatric or emotional disorders.
• Support the hospital program philosophy of care and maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Communicate with nursing staff and participate in the patient plan of care as assigned.
• Work day (7am–7pm) or night (7pm–7am) shifts, with at least one weekend shift per month.
