Job summary

Community Clinical Research seeks a compassionate Patient Care Technician to support inpatient study participants at our Austin facility. Working with the Charge Nurse, you will help ensure safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the stay in accordance with study protocols.

The role involves assisting with admissions/discharges, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating activities to keep participants engaged, with prior mental health support experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret study protocol instructions.
• Clear communication with patients and investigators.
• Commitment to Good Clinical Practice and participant protections.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and consistent professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Observe participants and report observations accurately.
• Assist with admissions and discharges for a smooth experience.
• Collect and record vital signs.
• Oversee meal service.
• Plan and coordinate unit activities to keep participants engaged and comfortable.
• Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses is preferred.
