Job summary

Community Clinical Research LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician for PRN shifts on an inpatient study team. You will support safe, comfortable participant care, work closely with the Charge Nurse, and ensure adherence to study protocols during stay.

Responsibilities include observing and documenting participant status, assisting with admissions/discharges, recording vital signs, supervising meals, and coordinating activities to keep participants engaged.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret study protocol instructions.
• Ability to communicate patient and study information clearly, and to respond thoughtfully to questions from investigators, staff, and participants.
• Commitment to Good Clinical Practice and the regulations that protect human research participants.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Keen observation skills and careful attention to detail.
• Consistent professionalism and punctuality, including for timed protocol procedures.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to calmly de-escalate difficult situations.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
