Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is seeking an empathetic RN to join FlexCare delivering IV therapy to pediatric and adult patients in Montgomery, AL. This PRN role has weekday hours with one Saturday per month and may involve floating to other FlexCare locations.

Primary duties include direct IV care, preparation of sterile medications, monitoring infusion reactions under NP supervision, documenting assessments, and supporting order entry and QA.

Qualifications

• ASN, BSN or MSN Degree.
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Alabama or Compact (Multistate) RN license.
• BLS and/or CPR certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Willingness to obtain additional licensure and/or ONS certification within 90 days.
• Solid IV skills.
• Familiarity with EMR, Microsoft Office, HIPAA, OSHA.

Responsibilities

Schedule: PRN / As Needed

Availability Needed: Monday-Friday & 1 Saturday per month
This is a PRN (as‑needed) role with flexible scheduling. Nurses are scheduled based on business needs during weekday hours and 1 Saturday per month with no guaranteed hours. Possible opportunity to float to other FlexCare locations in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.

Location: 440 Saint Lukes Drive, Montgomery, AL

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• ASN, BSN or MSN Degree
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or Compact (Multistate) RN license
• BLS and/or CPR certification, or willing to obtain upon hire
• Willingness to obtain additional licensure and/or ONS certification within 90 days
• Solid IV skills
• Familiarity with EMR, Microsoft Office, HIPAA, OSHA, and INS standards

Preferred Qualification:

• Outpatient or Home Infusion RN experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
