Job Description:

Caregiver duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene
• Basic food preparation: preparing meals, cooking, grocery shopping
• General health care: overseeing medication and prescription usage, doctor appointments, medication reminders, and exercise
• Mobility assistance: help with ambulation and transferring, including getting in and out of a wheelchair, car, or shower
• Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and supervision
• Transportation: driving to appointments, errands, and assisting with wheelchair-accessible vehicles
• Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in personal, health-related, and emotional matters
• Care for the elderly: caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s or other dementia, and relaying information from doctors to families
• Back-up care (respite): providing breaks for family or professional caregivers
• Home organization: assisting with organizing, packing, cleaning, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Health monitoring: following care plans and reporting health changes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year caregiving experience
• Knowledge of emergency response and CPR
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with dietary considerations
• Understanding of personal care needs
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate attitude
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and physical endurance
