Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) in Indiana to support safe pharmaceutical care through medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management. The role operates under a licensed pharmacist to ensure accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.

The technician will maintain records, assist with stock audits, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff while staying current with pharmacy practices and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of medication preparation, dispensing and compounding under supervision.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA and state/federal pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels and conducts regular audits.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Maintains records of orders, dispensing activities and inventory transactions.
• Supports in safety and quality assurance activities and staff training.
