Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) to support safe pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting in Indiana. You will assist in medication preparation, dispensing, labeling, and inventory management, under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will maintain records, participate in quality assurance, and help ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal pharmacy laws while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of medication preparation, dispensing and compounding under supervision.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance incl. HIPAA and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct audits to ensure stock availability.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Document medication orders and inventory transactions per policy.
• Support quality assurance and safety compliance activities.
• Troubleshoot basic pharmacy equipment issues and coordinate with pharmacists.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient care.
