Job summary

Cardinal Health is recruiting a PRN Pharmacy Technician for Health Systems Pharmacy at PAM Rehab Hospital of Henderson. The role supports pharmacists in daily operations, including prescription processing, inventory, and customer communications, with hours Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This position is needed to cover vacations, PTO, and sick time, requiring flexibility and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Nevada State Pharmacy Technician license/registration required.
National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred.
IV experience preferred.
In-patient hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred.
Flexibility in working schedule.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong customer service skills required.
Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Prepares medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out of date items.
Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy system.
Communicates with patients, clinics, care-givers and physicians in a professional manner.
Processes returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
