Job summary

HCA Healthtrust is seeking a Centralized Order Entry Pharmacist for the Georgia PRN opening. You will ensure medication orders meet patient care standards, verify dosage, enter orders into the online database, and monitor prescriptions.

The role requires a current Georgia Pharmacist license; PharmD is preferred. Meditech experience is strongly preferred; hospital experience is a plus. This position supports patient safety and collaborates with care teams to optimize therapy.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Pharmacist license required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college of pharmacy required.
• Pharm D is preferred.
• 1+ year hospital experience is preferred.
• Meditech experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets physician orders using the patient profile.
• Screens for drug interactions, allergies, order duplications, and appropriate diagnosis.
• Monitors for IV drug incompatibilities, concentration, and rate.
• Prepares written or oral shift reports to communicate safety concerns and incomplete assignments.
• Ensures procedures are followed for non-formulary/target/restricted/investigational drugs.
• Investigates and reports adverse drug events and medication incidents.
• Disseminates drug information to support high quality, cost-effective outcomes when consulted.
