HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Centralized Order Entry Pharmacist in Georgia for PRN evenings and weekends.

You will oversee medication orders, verify dosages, and enter orders into Meditech, ensuring patient safety and appropriate therapy throughout the care continuum. The role emphasizes reviewing physician orders, monitoring drug interactions, and communicating safety concerns during shift changes to maintain continuity of care.

Competenze

• Georgia Pharmacist license required.
• PharmD preferred.
• 1+ year hospital experience preferred.
• Meditech experience preferred.
• Current pharmacy license in appropriate state required.

• Reviews and interprets all physician orders received, using the patient profile.
• Screens for drug interactions, allergies, order duplications, appropriate diagnosis, renal and liver function prior to order entry.
• Monitors for incompatibilities, concentration and rate on intravenous drugs.
• Prepares written or oral report at change of shift to communicate incomplete assignments and potential patient safety concerns to monitor in order to ensure continuity of medication therapy.
• Ensures facility procedures are followed when non-formulary drugs, target drugs, restricted drugs and investigational drugs are ordered.
• Investigates and reports adverse drug events and medication incidents.
• Facilitates dissemination of drug information in a timely manner to achieve high quality, cost effective, positive therapeutic outcomes when consulted.

Schedule: PRN Evenings and Weekends

Meditech Experience Preferred

As the Centralized Order Entry Pharmacist, you will ensure that medication orders meet standards for patient care. In this role, you will monitor prescriptions, verify that the dosage and type of medication are appropriate for the patient's condition, enter the orders into an online database, track and oversee prescriptions, evaluate patient care plans, and provide any necessary recommendations for the patient.

• Monitors for incompatibilities, concentration and rate on intravenous drugs

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college of pharmacy is required.
• Pharm D is preferred

• Meditech experience strongly preferred
• Current pharmacy license in appropriate state required.
