Job summary

Banner Health's Sterling Regional Medical Center in Sterling, Colorado is seeking a PRN Food Service Worker to join the Culinary & Nutrition team. You will work on one or more assignments in cleaning, food preparation, patient trayline or retail cafe, serving patients and staff.

This role features varied shifts from 5:30am to 8pm, with weekends and holidays as needed. You will follow dietary and sanitation requirements and collaborate closely with a dedicated hospital kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required.
• POS (cash register) when applicable.
• Food handlers' card required with 30 days of hire for Banner Staffing Services team members.

Responsibilities

• Sets up work station and prepares foods and nourishments in correct quantities.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, flatware, trays and utensils; monitors dish machine temperature.
• Maintains par levels and restocks items; checks expiration dates.
• Checks and records food and equipment temperatures; reports discrepancies.
• Delivers meals/nourishments and assists in catering or special events as needed.
• Interacts with hospital staff, patients and families; follows sanitation standards.
