Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a PRN cook to support hospital cafeteria operations. This role involves interpreting recipes, preparing meals, and assembling large volumes for the cafeteria, patients, and catering events. Weekend and weekday coverage is required, with potential for flexible scheduling.

The ideal candidate may have a GED or high school diploma and/or completed culinary education, plus relevant experience. Safe Serve certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a cook. May substitute for years of experience if graduated or currently enrolled in an accredited Culinary School Required or
• SAFE Serve Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks in the preparation of meals, interprets recipes, cooks and assembles large volumes of food for the cafeteria, patient, and catering meals.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED Preferred

Graduate of an accredited Culinary School Preferred

Student currently enrolled in an accredited Culinary School Preferred
