Job summary

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a PRN Cook to assist in preparing and providing quality meals and nutritional services for patients and staff. Responsibilities include delivering patient meals, maintaining kitchen and dining cleanliness, and preparing food for modified diets in collaboration with a Dietician.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, at least two years of quantity cooking experience, and a Food Handler's permit; CPR and Handle With Care certifications may

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Two years' experience in quantity cooking preferred.
• Licensure: Food Service Food Handler's permit.
• Certifications: CPR and Handle With Care may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of patient meals, delivering food tray to units as needed.
• Ensure that the cafeteria and dining room remain clean and in adherence to all safety and health standards.
• Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting with Dietician as required
• Adhere to standards for food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.
