Allegiant Hospice LLC is seeking a PRN Music Therapist to join our hospice care team. You will use music to bring comfort, connection, and meaningful moments to patients and families facing life’s final journey.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, independent work, and collaboration with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides, with thorough documentation of visits and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or eligible to obtain certification within an established timeframe.
• Clinical internship/training in music therapy completed.
• Hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, home health, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized music therapy to hospice patients based on needs and goals.
• Use music to support comfort, relaxation, emotional expression, reminiscence, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, aides, and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Support patients and families with compassionate, person-centered care.
• Complete documentation related to music therapy visits.
